Ceramic Repair
When porcelain shatters, the missing fragments take with them a piece of history they once witnessed. Rather than attempting to restore that history, we seek to create new memories within a new profile.
Using 3D scanning technology, we digitize the broken porcelain as a foundation for reconstructing its form and incorporating new visual elements. Through non-planar printing, we directly print molten material onto the fractures. The natural flow of the material seamlessly bridges the gap between the scanned model and the physical object, solidifying new temporal memories within the cracks of space.
